Description & Requirements

The Network Development Engineer will be part of the Cloverleaf Development Team, working closely with customers and internal development teams to implement and manage VPN and AWS Direct Connect solutions. The ideal candidate should have a networking background, preferably within the AWS ecosystem, and an interest in expanding into a DevOps role.

What You Will Need?Required skills:

• Relevant degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in a large-scale network environment.
• Experience in a network-focused, hands-on technical role working with routing protocols, technologies, and platforms in large-scale data center and/or Wide Area Networking (WAN) environments.
• Experience developing engineering, deployment, or operational mechanisms to support IP networking systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Understands different networking hardware and packet forwarding architectures
• Knowledge and experience interacting with multiple network devices simultaneously through networking configuration tools, Infrastructure as Code, or scripting.
• Experience in a technical on-call capacity, responding to customer-impacting events, mitigating issues, and conducting root cause analysis of those events.

What Will Put You Ahead?Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge & experience of Linux or other Unix operating systems
• Proficiency in scripting/programming using Python, Perl, Ruby, Shell, Java, etc.
• Basic understanding in cloud terminologies, preferably within the AWS ecosystem
• Knowledge with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

• Design, implement, and maintain TCP/IP networking, routing, and network security architecture, utilizing core technologies such as IP, TCP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, load balancers, firewalls, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, and IP address management.
• Implement and manage network connectivity options such as VPN connections, Direct Connect, and other secure networking solutions.
• Oversee and manage AWS VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, and network ACLs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement DevOps best practices.
• Collaborate closely with customer teams to understand their requirements and provide tailored infrastructure and deployment solutions.
