Typical Experience:
To be eligible for student employment, an applicant must have the following requisites:
1) They must be enrolled at the University of Alaska Fairbanks with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment.
2) Have a least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA).

Health Promotion experience, presentation skills, and mentoring experience are a plus.

Participation in previous university clubs and organizations preferred.

Salary Information:

This is a student position. The position will pay at $14.96 an hour.

While in a student position, a student employee cannot hold any other type of simultaneous employment with the university, (some examples of other types of non-compatible employment are regular or temporary staff, adjunct position, etc.)

This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year and students may apply for the position all year. When departments need to fill a position, they review the current “pool” and call students for interviews. Students who were not hired for one position still remain in the pool for other positions.
