Description

Reporting to the Associate Director of Multimedia within the Office of Digital Education, the Multimedia Producer collaborates closely with a wide array of university-wide clients to develop, produce, and deliver client multimedia for various online educational purposes. This position plays a key role in shaping the effectiveness of Temple University’s online education environment through the strategic and persuasive storytelling tools utilized in the content creation.

The Multimedia Producer is responsible for project management, operation, and maintenance of studio and on-location projects throughout the production process and troubleshooting of the production studio, faculty pods, and related audio/visual equipment in order to minimize technical issues and optimize production and post-production time. The position requires excellent communication, management, and troubleshooting skills to be utilized with internal clients and external vendors.

The Multimedia Producer should have extensive experience using various multimedia production resources, workflows, and equipment, including but not limited to the Adobe Creative Suite, digital camcorders, and sound mixers. Additionally, the Multimedia Producer will regularly facilitate and communicate with university faculty in orientations, meetings, troubleshooting, and consultations in order to provide comprehensive support and training on multimedia production tools and techniques for online courses.

The incumbent must stay current with accessibility standards, best practices for using multimedia in an online learning environment, and new and emerging technologies for online education. Performs other duties as assigned.

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.

Education & Experience:
Associate’s Degree and at least one year of directly related experience.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities: 
*Ability to manage projects.
*Working knowledge of all applicable computer software.
*Management skills including planning, negotiation, and communication skills.
*Knowledge of applicable professional principles and knowledge of university policies and procedures.

Preferred:

*Bachelor’s degree
*Strong technical skills on both Windows and Apple platforms and the ability to provide trainings and troubleshooting for clients using both platforms.

*Detailed knowledge in the Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition, and Adobe Illustrator.

*Knowledge in chroma keying and blue/green screen editing preferred.
