Position Summary Bryant University seeks an Multimedia Producer to join the growing University Marketing and Communication team.
The Multimedia producer must be an energetic and flexible professional who is skilled in the pre-production, planning, logistics, shooting, and editing of video and multimedia that support Bryant University’s integrated brand marketing priorities and projects. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position for a creative professional who excels in merging audio, video, photography, motion graphics, and words into compelling brand-aligned online content that captures an audience’s attention while helping to meet strategic communication goals.
 
The Multimedia Producer is an integral member of a collaborative, high-performing team that operates using rapid prototyping and an iterative, collaborative process. On occasion, the specialist may also serve as a camera and sound person with video crews hired to produce special projects for the University.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Develop a high volume of high quality and engaging video/social media/multimedia assets that support Bryant’s strategic brand communication goals as demonstrated through audience engagement and performance analytics (75%)
  • Manage the posting of content into CMS, other online platforms; log and maintain files/archives/assets (15%)
  • Perform related duties as assigned (10%)

Qualifications The successful candidate for this position will hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (marketing, communications, or journalism preferred) and will have a minimum of 5 years of professional videography experience with an extensive portfolio that demonstrates skills and ability to deliver. The ideal candidate will also have experience with all aspects of video production including storyboarding, writing project briefings, interviewing, audio recording, camera operation, shooting A- and B-roll, lighting, logging, editing, and compression. Extensive experience with software related to video and audio editing, such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop; expertise in creating videos for social media; experience with motion graphics; knowledge and experience working with video cameras, DSLRs and lenses, and smartphones; knowledge and experience working with professional audio recording equipment (on camera and secondary equipment for DSLRS), handheld vs tripod videography, three-point lighting for interviews and other video scenarios; and familiarity with video hosting platforms is also required. Additional experience with photojournalism/photography and digital asset management, as well as demonstrated interest in and knowledge of producing podcasts is also preferred.
We are looking for an individual who demonstrates a high degree of professional satisfaction in finding ways to repurpose assets created by others (video, audio, still photography, graphics). The successful candidate will also demonstrate a high level of aptitude for quick iteration and rapid prototyping; is committed to adhering to an established graphic design protocol that aligns with the Bryant brand; and displays interest in staying up to date on developments in video technology related to digital publishing and social media. The multimedia producer should have the ability to skillfully coach on-camera subjects toward sound bites that best serve the project, and to work: independently with exceptional attention to detail; creatively and effectively in a collaborative environment, providing and receiving creative direction and feedback; and on deadline, including last minute requests.
