Job Description
MULTIMEDIA CONTENT PRODUCER AND COORDINATOR, School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (SHASS), to work with the communications team and lead the effort to tell the story of SHASS through visual media (video and photos); integrate multimedia into SHASS’s communications strategy; and collaborate with its departments, labs, and centers (DLCs) on visual media projects as needed. Projects will focus on using visual media to elevate awareness of the SHASS community and its world-class humanities, arts, and social sciences undergraduate and graduate programs. Responsibilities include developing and creating visual media to promote the SHASS brand on its website, social media, and other channels; collaborating on fully integrating multimedia into the overall content strategy and on developing visual content to accompany ongoing editorial projects; conceptualizing and producing video and other multimedia assets that spotlight faculty, staff, and students; producing videos and photos that feature SHASS classes, events, etc.; collaborating with DLCs on visual media projects; creating content for the SHASS YouTube and Instagram channels and photo library; and developing and executing long-term multimedia series and projects.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in a related field; at least one year of communications experience including video production, photography, project management, and a portfolio of work; up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of digital communications platforms and experience working across social media channels and web platforms (specifically WordPress and Drupal); demonstrated experience with and track record of prioritizing multiple work assignments and meeting deadlines; ability to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate across all organizational units; and discretion and judgment with sensitive information/issues. This position has flexible, hybrid work arrangements, but must be available for monthly, in-person, all-staff meetings. Schedule to be determined. Occasional weekend and evening work may also be required.
