About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in tracking, assessing, and enhancing the impact of projects and programs. He/She will develop and implement robust M&E frameworks that integrate modern approaches, including monitoring, evaluation, learning (MEL), and adaptive management.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and implement M&E frameworks to track project progress, outputs, and outcomes.
· Develop and manage data collection tools, ensuring real-time data capture and integration with MIS systems.
. Provide technical analysis, interpretation, and information as required, to support the assessment of activity impact. This includes organizing the collection, management, analysis, and regular reporting of data on progress and issues with ongoing projects.
· Conduct field monitoring visits to validate project activities and ensure data accuracy.
· Lead baseline, mid-term, and end-line evaluations to measure project effectiveness and impact.
· Contribute and support evidence-based decision-making on program design and implementation, notably through making monitoring and evaluation findings accessible, developing innovative, user-friendly, and informative products facilitate periodic reflection sessions and learning studies to drive program improvements.
· Ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with donor and organizational requirements.
· Train staff and partners in M&E methodologies and best practices.
· Engage with donors and stakeholders to align M&E activities with project goals.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
· Timeliness & Quality of Reports – Percentage of reports submitted on time and meeting quality standards.
· Data Accuracy & Integrity – Percentage of verified data entries without inconsistencies.
· Evaluation Completion Rate – Percentage of planned evaluations completed within project timelines.
· Utilization of M&E Findings – Number of program adaptations informed by M&E insights.
· Capacity Building Success – Number of staff trained and improvements in M&E competency.
· Stakeholder Engagement – Number of M&E presentations and collaborative initiatives with partners.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
· 3-5 years of experience in M&E roles within development projects.
· Strong knowledge of MEL frameworks, impact assessment methodologies, and adaptive learning.
· Proficiency in M&E software (SPSS, Stata, Power BI, or similar tools).
· Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
· Experience working with donor-funded projects is an added advantage.
