Our Canadian operations are expanding with a 170,000 square foot fiberglass manufacturing facility on a 148 acres site in Bath, Loyalist Township in Ontario, Canada! This new facility will enable us to more effectively and efficiently serve markets in the eastern half of Canada, as well as the Northeast and upper Midwest of the United States, producing pools for its fiberglass brands including Latham and Narellan Pools. Construction will commence in late fall 2021, with production expected to begin in 2022. The facility is expected to be fully operational by 2024.
General Description of Duties
This position is responsible for maintaining the molds in production ready status. They also will alter molds to fit production needs, by combining molds, changing depth and any alterations requested by our customers. This position has five (5) levels.
M1-1 Apprentice

Understand and know how to use MSDS

Learn small cosmetic repairs

Learn large repairs with assistance from M-3 or above

Learn to properly clean, grind, sand, and buff molds

Learn to properly apply release agents to new molds

Learn to properly maintain and repair mold floor texture

Essential Job functions:
Job responsibilities will include performing all tasks assigned in the manufacture of fiberglass swimming pools, maintaining a clean work area, and adhering to all safety standards.
Physical requirements of the position include but are not limited to prolonged standing, frequent bending/reaching/stooping, overhead work and lifting up to forty (40) pounds. Climbing and working at heights of up to 10 ft. required.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, respirator, gloves, safety shoes, harness and/or protective outerwear are required. Exposure to dust, odors/fumes, heat (dependent upon weather conditions) and noise is typical.
Education/Skills:
Experience working with power tools and pneumatic tools a plus. Forklift experience preferred. Auto body experience is helpful. Welding experience is a plus.
