Descriptions:

Aerotek is currently hiring Millwrights for a beverage manufacturing facility in Kitchener, Ontario. They manufacture and distribute various alcoholic beverage products for the grocery and restaurant industry.

Responsibilities :

Millwrights will be working very closely with production operators, they will be repairing mostly conveyor systems. They will be working on canning and bottling lines. In an effort to limit the number of breakdowns, millwrights are asked to coach and train operators so that they can start to do basic maintenance on their own.

The millwright role is broken into 4 parts:

  • Area calls/ breakdowns

  • PMs/ Overhauls

  • Utilities and cost savings

  • Training operators

Preventive maintenance, Packaging machinery, Conveyor maintenance

Qualifications:

MUST HAVE: 433A millwright license

MUST HAVE: 2+ years of experience as a millwright in a manufacturing/production setting (preferably with conveyors)

MUST HAVE: Has a certificate of apprenticeship

NICE TO HAVE: Experience in a food manufacturing environment

Working Conditions

Shift:

Rotating continental OR nights continental. Candidates will work 7 out of 14 days instead of the usual 10 days. Each shift is 12 hours long.

ROTATING CONTINENTAL: For two weeks 7am-7pm schedule and the other two weeks they will work 7pm-7am.

NIGHTS CONTINENTAL: Candidates will work the same schedule but their times will always be 7am-7pm

Candidates must understand that they will be required to work weekend shifts.

  • Ticketed: $38.00-$40.00/hour

Premiums

$4.00/hr (night premium) + $4.00/hr (weekend premium)

* When on weekend nights, the premiums are combined to $8 TOTAL so $48.00+/hr!*
