• Assesses treatment needs and provides evidence supported individual, group, and family treatment that is consistent with the service design and philosophy of the program, as clinically indicated, to assigned clients.
• Arrives at accurate DSM-5 multi-axial diagnosis by the end of the evaluation session and updates when new information and clinical status warrant.
• Makes appropriate case disposition and referral decisions.
• Assumes overall case management responsibilities for assigned clients, including coordination of treatment and liaison with medical providers and community agencies.
• Maintains clinical documentation standards as mandated by UBHC policy and other applicable accreditation and certification entities.
• Develops and applies knowledge of trends and advancements in the field of practice.

• Master’s Degree in a mental health or related discipline and a New Jersey license as required by discipline.
• Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work.

• Demonstrated competency in treating families.
• Ability to assess level of care needs and provide outpatient group therapy treatment.
• Ability to implement Universal Precautions and Safety Precautions.

• Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC).
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish). Competency with electronic clinical documentation.

• PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to speak clearly and write proficiently is essential. Extended sitting is required to provide treatment and type extensive clinical documentation into electronic medical record.
• WORK ENVIRONMENT: Department includes quiet, private clinical offices. Generally pleasant working conditions.

• May work at least (1) evening per week.
