Chiesi is looking for a Medical Lead to join the Rare team in the Benelux affiliate. This role offers a great opportunity for someone with extensive experience in medical affairs or market access who wants to grow in people management. What will you do?
As a Medical Lead you contribute to defining the medical strategy of Chiesi Rare Benelux. You determine, plan and arrange for the execution of the medical strategy of the business unit. In addition, you also help to position Chiesi and build the scientific image of Chiesi and the business unit. It is important you assure the medical knowledge and offer medical and scientific support to internal and external stakeholders. For medical compliance, you assess materials and activities within the business unit. As a Medical Lead you maintain relevant relationships in the medical field, with a focus on Key Opinion Leaders and strategic stakeholders within the working field.
You will:
Contribute to the development and definition of the medical and overall strategy of Chiesi Rare Benelux;
Maintain and transfer medical knowledge within and beyond the business unit;
Assure the contents of product and clinical picture documentation and presentation based on the latest science;
Assure that any claims and statements made by Chiesi meet the desired medical-scientific level and are correct;
Assure that the quality of products and activities complies with all imposed guidelines;
Make sure justice is done to science in Chiesi’s communication and inform healthcare providers and patients about this;
Manage medical projects, such as studies, training courses, linked to the (departmental) strategy;
Participate in local and international communities and scientific conferences and symposiums;
Supervise and manage the Medical Rare team, a team of 2 employees.

Who are we looking for?
Someone with considerable experience in medical affairs or market access. You know how to communicate on different levels and work with customers. You are able to lead a team of talented medical advisors. Next to that you are able to manage a project perfectly and you are ‘digital savvy’.
Master’s degree or equivalent by experience in medicine, pharmacy, life science programme.Basic knowledge of clinical studies developments;
Experience in the area of clinical research, including a minimum of 3 years of working experience in a similar position;
Knowledge of and experience within the pharmaceutical care field;
Knowledge of the pharmaceutical advertising legislation;
Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, French is a plus.
