Job Summary

• The Medical Laboratory Scientist performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests, procedures, and related duties.
• Utilizes scientific principles as well as technical, procedural, and problem-solving aptitudes for day to day laboratory technical operations, quality control, quality assurance, procedure/instrument maintenance and corrective action, test result correlation and clinical laboratory related continuing education.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field is required from an accredited college or university.
• Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every three years thereafter.

Work Schedule

• Monday – Friday; 72 hours every 2 weeks

• Day shift, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
• Occasional weekend (2 days per month, 1 weekend)
• Occasional holiday (Rotated; every 6th holiday)
• Occasional call time (Once per week)

PayThe hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $27.50 – $ 41.50 per hour
