The Staff Pad is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technician/Medical Laboratory Technician in Helena, Montana. Join an organization that values people first.JOB SUMMARY: The Clinical Laboratory Technician/Medical Laboratory Technician independently performs routine and special diagnostic procedures on blood and other body fluids from patients of all age groups served by SPH. The position routinely performs waived, moderate and high complexity testing (with an Associates degree).KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: One-year experience as a generalist clinical laboratory technician in a hospital setting preferred.EDUCATION: Montana State Licensure as CLT required. National Licensure as Medical Laboratory Technician required. Associate degree in Medical Technology or equivalent preferred.LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technician in Montana.Aptitudes: Must demonstrate problem-solving ability and ability to perform complex calculations. Must be able to manage stressful situations with tact and simultaneously deliver good patient care. *Must be capable of multitasking and prioritization. Must demonstrate exceptional organizational ability. *Must demonstrate advanced problem-solving skills. *Must demonstrate flexibility. *Must demonstrate professionalism. *Must be able to work under extremely busy conditions. *Must be able to provide on call coverage. *Must be able to communicate verbally, in writing and electronically. *Must demonstrate attention to detail. *Must exhibit courtesy and tact.
