JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The primary function of this position is assigning codes to medical procedures and diagnoses ensuring that codes are assigned correctly and sequenced appropriately as per government and insurance regulations and complying with medical coding guidelines and policies. Reviewing patients’ charts and documents for verification and accuracy. Additionally to facilitate the submission of claims to health insurance companies on behalf of University Health Services. The individual will confirm that bills are sent to the appropriate payment source and will redirect bills accordingly. This position will assist with other office duties as requested.
