Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) is seeking a Media & Advocacy Officer for an exciting role at a high-profile 70-year-old news organization reporting accurate news and information in 27 languages and 23 countries where a free press is either banned or restricted.
Are you an experienced, smart, self-starting, and resourceful media and advocacy professional with direct experience supporting press engagement and advocacy efforts looking for a challenging yet rewarding opportunity? The Media & Advocacy Officer we’re looking for will join our communications team in Washington, DC, reporting to the Communications Director and Advocacy Manager.
This role offers the chance to generate and respond to media requests to educate and inform audiences about the organization’s unique mission. If you’re also ready to take on a pivotal role in supporting advocacy campaigns and activities aimed at helping RFE/RL journalists and journalism under threat, including reporters who are currently wrongfully imprisoned, and media freedom more broadly, we want to hear from you.
