Oxford Brookes University is looking to recruit an experienced, reliable and highly motivated Mechanical Services Technician (Plumber/Gas Engineer/ Pipe Fitter) as a member of the Estates team to undertake planned, preventative and responsive maintenance across residential and academic buildings within the University Estate, working on both commercial and domestic buildings.  Mechanical Services Technicians play a proactive role within a motivated and innovative team, delivering key objectives to meet directorate and university wide requirements.

Overall Purpose of the post: 

To carry out planned, preventative and reactive mechanical services across the University’s Estate, including maintaining of service records, maintenance schedules and Service Desk PPM’s.

Qualifications required for post:

A recognised apprenticeship in mechanical/ HVAC services, City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3, ACS for CCN1, COCN1 or equivalent qualifications.

Experience required for post:

Significant post apprenticeship operational experience in mechanical services.
