Your role involves feasibility studies, testing, and guiding teams in detailed design and fabrication. You provide the crucial design information needed to shape our technology’s packaging.What You’ll DoTechnical

• Participates in the conceptualization, modeling, analysis, development, documentation, and test/validation of hardware associated with new semiconductor equipment.
• Designs parts using metals, ceramics, quartz, plastics, and advanced coatings/plating’s. Work with potential suppliers to ensure parts can be manufactured in accordance with performance and cost objectives.
• Ensures documentation is consistent with SEMI, Lam Standards and other standards as applicable (ANSI, DIN etc.) as well as best known methods for GD&T; accordingly, demonstrates knowledge and ability to properly utilize them.
• Take over a leading role in analytical work in order to characterize and properly specify new and existing designs, including heat transfer, stress, vibrations, fluid/gas dynamics and manufacturability.
• Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Takes initiative to recognize obstacles and create solutions.
• Develops and execute test plans that generate characterization data sufficient to understand and validate the performance of the design.
• Develops and presents reports/presentations of excellent quality that communicate design intent, analysis, and validation at design reviews.
• Close interactions with suppliers and other Lam internal departments to ensure reception of high quality, well tested and cost optimized solutions for the defined requirements.
• May be responsible for the design, development and implementation of custom mechanical tooling, fixturing and associated processes to enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle.
• Establishes standards across all operational processes.
• Prepares all required deliverables requested by product development plan (e.g. FMEA, technical specifications, risk analysis, test specifications, design review presentations)

Leadership

• Technical Leadership: Lead complex projects, make architectural decisions, and set technical standards.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior engineers, helping them grow their skills and navigate challenges.
• Project leadership: lead projects with manageable risks as well as finance and resource requirements

Customer Relation

• Professionally represents the company to the customer.

Who We’re Looking ForMinimum Qualifications:

• PhD in engineering (or related field) with a minimum of 3 years of experience, or
• Master’s degree in engineering (or related field) with a minimum of 6 years of experience, or
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of 8 years of related experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English language.
• Hands-on experimental and design background coupled with solid engineering skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• • Experience in Semiconductor industry is a plus.

• Experience in leading a technical focused team is beneficial.
• Experience in project management, managing projects, or problem solving while managing time and multiple priorities.
• Good knowledge in a CAD program (Solid Edge, Siemens NX or similar) and AutoCAD.
• Experience with simulations or working with a simulation software is a plus.
• Experience in a PDM Program (Team Center or similar).
• Knowledge of MS Office.

Our hybrid rolescombine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotelyand fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days perweek on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely forthe balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam orcustomer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.Employment in AustriaThis position is subject to the for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry. A higher payment is negotiable depending on expertise, education, and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
