Mathematical Modeller In Pharmacokinetics – Grade 6/7

We are seeking an experienced individual to work as a mathematical modeller focusing on pharmacokinetics for a Medical Research Council (MRC) funded project. The role will provide support within the wider modelling team as part of the Centre of Excellence for Long-Acting Therapeutics.  You will work under the direction of Professor Andrew Owen and other delegates within the team. You will join a multi-disciplinary team of pharmacologists and chemists working on research into the development of the next generation of candidate medicines for clinical trials as well as new approaches to therapy for COVID-19.

You will have a Masters or equivalent degree in Biological Sciences/Pharmacology/Modelling and Simulation (for appointment at Grade 6) or a PhD in Pharmacology or related discipline and extensive expertise in mathematical modelling (for appointment at Grade 7)

Any applicants who are still awaiting their PhD to be awarded should be aware that if successful, they will be appointed at grade 6, spine point 30.  Upon written confirmation that they have been successful in being awarded their PhD, they will be moved onto grade 7, spine point 37 from the date of their award.

The post is available on a fixed term basis until 31 March 2024.
