| Job Summary | The Regional Communications Lead will work collaboratively with University of Kentucky staff and community members to implement the HEALing Communities Study (HCS), a federal grant that aims to reduce opioid overdose deaths by 40 percent in participating communities. Work will require collaboration with and travel to and around up to four HCS communities, which include Bourbon, Carter, Jefferson, Knox, Campbell, Greenup, Jefferson, and Mason counties. The Regional Communications Lead will support HCS study teams and communities as they implement health communication campaigns focused on opioid overdose education and naloxone distribution (OEND), medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD), safe disposal of unused medications, and stigma. Support will include attending study team and community meetings (both virtual and in-person), building partnerships and supporting partner campaign implementation, distributing campaign materials to partner agencies and within the community, supporting outreach events and OEND trainings, management of social media pages, and contributing to evaluation, reports, and presentations.
