Job Overview

The Office of Marketing and Communication is seeking a Marketing Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator will be a vital member in the Marketing and Communication department, which serves the largest college at the University of Cincinnati. This team member will serve as the department’s primary contact with the College of Arts and Sciences recruitment team, working closely to ensure timely, targeted communications are delivered to prospective students and their parents at strategic touchpoints during the academic year recruitment cycle.

 

The Office of Marketing and Communication is seeking a Marketing Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator will be a vital member in the Marketing and Communication department, which serves the largest college at the University of Cincinnati. This team member will serve as the department’s primary contact with the College of Arts and Sciences recruitment team, working closely to ensure timely, targeted communications are delivered to prospective students and their parents at strategic touchpoints during the academic year recruitment cycle.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with development, coordination, implementation and revision of marketing plans and promotional materials.
  • Create and manage marketing assets for the Recruitment Department, including digital and print promotional materials.
  • Create and manage recruitment communications, including email and texting.
  • Monitor, track and evaluate results; recommend changes.
  • Assist with the design, layout and writing of print materials.
  • Provide technical and strategic support to the Recruitment Team.
  • Provide technical and strategic support to the Marketing and Communication team.
  • Contribute to the College of Arts & Sciences social media channels through strategy and content.
  • Support and assist in maintaining the college’s website and google analytics.
  • Determine project schedules, deadlines, etc.
  • Contribute to limited writing assignments on an as-needed basis.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Education, Graphic Arts, Liberal Arts, Marketing, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

One (1) year of experience in development and implementation of marketing and/or advertising plans.

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Professional experience with social media (TikTok, Instagram, Twitter etc.), social media scheduling software (Sprout Social or similar), content creation (graphics and video) and content creation software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar).
  • Knowledge of CMS (Adobe Experience Manager or similar), CRM systems (Slate, Salesforce or similar), Email Marketing Systems (Constant Contact or similar) and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability work in a teamwork centered environment.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Organized, detail oriented, and excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, shift focus quickly, and a quick learner.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
