Job Description

Principal Roles and Responsibilities:

 

WHISTLEBLOWING UNIT (WBU)

  • Review the triage cases to the respective departments
  • Manage the day-to-day operational activities of the Whistleblowing Unit (“WBU’), including the dashboard, WBU mailbox and data analytics
  • Proactively provide support to investigations and Internal Audit as needed
  • Draft and maintain the WBU policy
  • Assist in the maintenance of the Centralised Incident Management System (“CIMS”), assigning the access rights and deletion of CIMS users
  • Participating in the management of cases and tracking of the case closure are appropriately defined, and tracked
  • Conduct training where there are changes to policy, procedures and legislation

 

CONFLICT OF INTEREST (COI)

  • Assist in managing the COI query from staff
  • Assist in the data analytics and preparing the management reports
  • Manage the COI System with the assistance if IT Department
  • Assist with Annual COU Declaration exercise

 

OTHERS

  • Provide such other support and assistance to the Head of Compliance as required and attend to WBU matters where necessary
  • Support in drafting communications for the NUS community on privacy/data protection matters and updates

Qualifications

 

QUALIFICATION
•    Bachelor’s degree 
•    Competency, working experience and certification in Whistleblowing / Ethics hotline would be an advantage (though training can be provided)

 

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS 
•    3 to 4 years’ work experience in legal, advisory, audit or compliance role, candidates with working familiarity in whistleblowing / ethics would be preferred.  
•    Good interpersonal skills in understanding and managing challenging business requirements 
•    Self-motivated and driven with good accountability on achieving objectives
•    Good team player with demonstrated ability to work with various project groups and inter-disciplinary teams
