Manager, Research Development Partnerships

Department:
Medicine IM General Internal Medicine

Manager, Research Development Partnerships in the Division of General Internal Medicine within the Department of Internal Medicine.  This position will develop and manage the Division’s new Dissemination & Implementation Science (DIS) program; develops and implements research infrastructure for the DIS; actively participates in administrative, operational, fiscal, and human resources activities supporting DIS program; participates in strategic planning and monitors, evaluates, and revises the program as necessary to conform to the changes in the healthcare regulatory and business environment; provides technical and administrative guidance and coordination to ensure support staff activities and workflow processes are handled in an efficient and timely manner; builds partnerships between GIM and other colleges/groups at OSU as well as external partnerships; identifies areas of growth and provides leadership and participates in the design/ execution/ monitoring/ controlling and closure of processes, procedures, programs, and projects; identifies opportunities to develop new or revise existing policies; participates in research development, implementation, and dissemination with all levels of faculty and fellows developing research projects/programs; assists with manuscript writing as well as protocol writing/operationalization; negotiates and manages study specific budgets/grants; provides oversight of compliance and quality assurance, and risk reduction in human subjects research; develops program(s) to reach diverse population of study participants; develops continuing education and onboarding program for GIM research team, both physician and support staff. 

Minimum Education Required:

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Additional Education Desired:

Master’s degree preferred

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in health sciences or an equivalent combination of education and experience required; 5 years relevant experience conducting & implementing research projects required; experience in a progressively responsible administrative or management research capacity preferred; knowledge of clinical research regulations, guidelines & compliance issues required including Institutional Review Board (IRB) & federal or industry sponsor processes and requirements preferred; supervisory experience preferred; experience writing research grants and proposals strongly desired. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
