Manager, Programmes

A national research centre of Nanyang Technological University, the NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore focuses on Spaces of the Curatorial, addressing the urgencies of our time. A leading international art institution, the Centre is a platform, host and partner creating and driven by dynamic thinking in its three-fold constellation: Residencies Programme, Research and Academic Education and Exhibitions. It brings forth innovative, multi-disciplinary, holistic and experimental forms of emergent artistic and curatorial practices that intersect the present and histories of contemporary art embedded in social, geo-political, geo-cultural spheres with other fields of knowledge. NTU CCA Singapore’s office and research centre is located at Gilman Barracks.

This is a key hands-on manager position to oversee one of the Centre’s Residency programme, and to contribute effective capability development, artistic exchange, curatorial mentorship and institutional partnerships.

This role supports the Centre’s leadership in developing and delivering the Centre’s programmes, thematic festivals and conferences. The position is the main contact point for day to day management of all course related matters and works with operations team in delivering programmes .

The role also includes day to day management and coordination of all residency programmes, including coordination with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the AD Programmes develop and deliver programmes, from content, administration, marketing, coordination and student liaison.

  • Manage budgets with accuracy and timeliness.

  • Act as main contact point for externally funded programmes such as the EU Embassy residencies programme. Coordinate and manage artist and partner institutions, as well as administrating all reporting obligations related to such grants.

  • Work with  Senior Assistant Director on matters relating to digital archive and outreach initiatives.

Requirements:

  • University qualification or equivalent experience in arts or education field.

  • At least 4 years of professional experience in the field of in a similar role.

  • Demonstrated experience in producing arts programmes and events.

  • Good writing skills, media knowledge, digital and social media fluency is required.

  • Skills and experience in managing grants and programme budgets up to SGD$100K
