MANAGER, OFF-SITE FACILITIES AND OPERATIONS,Facilities-Campus Services and Maintenance, to provide overall direction and supervision of support and service staff and contractors while adhering to department and Institute policies and procedures.  Will be available to respond to emergencies as required 24/7 relative to snow emergencies, security issues, and equipment and system failures; manage a broad range of leased and off-site facility-related responsibilities, including snow removal, landscaping, cleaning, security, HVAC, etc.; provide oversight for the operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of building systems with the utilization of in-house staff and contractors; provide oversight of the operations budget; and lead the department’s overall initiatives. 


Job Requirements

REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; five years’ relevant experience in engineering, trades management, and/or QA/QC field; strong working knowledge of HVAC, BMS systems, electrical power, distribution, and emergency power back-up systems; strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and written and oral communication skills; self-motivation; attention to detail; knowledge of and experience with labor relations and conflict resolution; strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of drawings, plans, and specifications; experience with customer service, process improvement, decision-making, managing processes, staffing, planning, analyzing information, developing standards, and emphasizing excellence; and a valid driver’s license. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships; plan, coordinate, analyze, execute, and document specific administrative and management functions; multitask; prioritize workloads and meet deadlines; and work effectively under pressure.  PREFERRED:   bachelor’s degree related to the electrical/mechanical/structural trades and/or building construction within an educational or similar institution; and experience with CMMS/CAFM. Job #22016-11
