Job Description Summary:
The manager of Enterprise Development manages staff and all aspects of the development and web design teams within Enterprise Development and Support. This position works with the Associate-Director of Enterprise Development and Support to provide application, web, client, cloud, and mobile development and web design for the University’s administrative, academic, and research community.
Job Description:

Key Duties

  • Manages projects, requests, and prioritizes tasks for team members
  • Ensures the technical development environment is current and appropriate for the assigned teamwork, including integrated development environments, test and development platforms, and source code control systems
  • Develops and maintains standards and coding practices
  • Actively participates in code review, deployment documentation, and creation of other technical documents to ensure quality and compliance with standards
  • Assists in requirements gathering and assesses project scope and efforts
  • Develops Direct Reports
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field. Additional work experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis
  • Extensive experience managing Development Teams
  • Significant organizational and project management experience
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft development platforms, architecture and integrating systems
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare or academic settings
  • Related master’s degree
  • Experience with cloud-based computing and hosted platforms
  • Experience with SQL Server Databases and related Technology
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, XML, and XSLT
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems
  • Experience in a variety of development strategies such as Rapid Application Development (RAD) and Agile Methodologies.
