The SDV-EP organization is responsible for developing, deploying, and releasing propulsion and chassis systems that make the vehicle “go, turn and stop”.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical People Leader to join our team to lead our Advanced Chassis Controls and SW space. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in modern and advanced Controls, as well as people leadership skills and strong communication.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading people, innovation, embedded controls, as well as a solid foundation in vehicle dynamics with the ability to lead through ambiguity.
Job Responsibilities:

Enable self-organizing, self-managing teams to deliver product on-time with quality executions in an agile environment.

Lead and manage a team of engineers who are highly proficient in advanced controls towards a common goal.

Stay up to date on relevant standards in controls and help manage university partnerships.

Define strategy at the group level and align with org and company vision, maximizing impact.

Help remove impediments and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement.

Establish strong relationship with stakeholders in controls domain.

Help manage and lead innovation acting as one of the business owners.
-
Mentor, coach, and develop employees and their careers.

Establish and monitor budget for responsible activities

Execute resource planning for required activities

Minimum Required Skills and Experiences:
-
Bachelor of Science in Engineering to include Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Mathematics.
-
Minimum 10+ years of engineering experience related to embedded control system, calibration, related hardware, and/or safety critical system development
-
Demonstrated results in successful project execution
-
Excellent multi-functional communication and leadership skills – able to get multiple teams moving in the same direction
-
Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity while driving timely decision making
Preferred Skills and Experience:
-
Ph.D. and/or Master of Science in Engineering with a focus on controls or related field
-
Embedded Chassis Controls and SW experience
-
Leadership experience of teams of engineers responsible for developing or testing embedded control systems or related hardware.

5+ years of people leadership experience
-
Demonstrated ability to:
-
Achieve results through effective teamwork.
-
Lead numerous projects with different focal areas to successful completion.
-
Lead and measure work through metrics, data, and results.
Hybrid Work
This position operates on a hybrid work model, requiring the successful candidate to be onsite a minimum of three times per week.
