Job Description
EdPlus is currently seeking a highly-motivated and energetic Management Intern. The position will provide professional level strategic support to EdPlus Innovation and Emerging Initiatives (IEI), assisting with strategic grants projects, research and analysis, grants coordination and planning. The Management Intern will collaborate with various stakeholders in order to gain working knowledge and experience related to emerging EdTech initiatives and grants administration.
EdPlus is a unit of the ASU Enterprise focused on the design and scalable delivery of digital teaching and learning models to increase student success and reduce barriers to achievement in higher education. We advance the economic, social, cultural, and overall health of the local, national and international communities served by ASU.

Essential Duties
Serves as a strategic administrator for for EdPlus Emerging Initiatives grants, which may include the following duties and responsibilities:
- Conducts research and identifies various grants and funding opportunities aligned to EdPlus initiatives.
- Critically analyzes and evaluates feasibility of opportunities with recommendations for competitive positioning.
- Assists in development of both written and visual deliverables required for grant & funding opportunities; coordinates requirements with various stakeholders (faculty, EdPlus and ASU Foundation, etc.)
- Evaluates complex ideas for and synthesizes in written and/or visual communication methods for various audiences.
- Analyzes procedures and makes recommendations for improvement to advance grant/funding opportunity pipeline;
- Maintains databases and prepares reports as needed.
- Assumes or coordinates other duties or projects as assigned or directed.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field; OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
- Evidence of pursuing Master’s degree in Business Administration, Journalism, English, Marketing & design, Public Relations, Public Service, Communications, Digital Audiences, Media Studies or related area of study.
- Evidence of effective communication skills with the ability to take complex ideas and create concise written or visual formats for stakeholders
- Demonstrated knowledge of various research methodologies for searching, consolidating and analyzing opportunities
- Evidence of ability to organize resources and establish priorities for teams.
- Demonstrated knowledge of management principles and practices, ability in planning, organization, coordination of activities.
Working Environment
EdPlus at ASU is located at SkySong, the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center. The center houses a diverse business community that links technology, research, education, and entrepreneurship to position ASU and Greater Phoenix as global leaders in the knowledge economy.
Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting or standing. Daily use of desktop or laptop computer is required. Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential duties. Regular review of completed tasks.
