The Management Engineering Student Co-op will play a vital role in supporting the Management Engineering Department by applying their academic knowledge and skills to real-world projects. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in healthcare industrial systems engineering while contributing to the company’s overall goals.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Assistance:
Work closely with management engineers and project teams to support various initiatives.
Analyze data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for process improvement.
Conduct research and prepare reports on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Process Optimization:
Assist in the development and implementation of new processes or procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Analyze existing workflows and identify areas for improvement.
Utilize data analytics tools to measure and track process performance.
Data Analysis:
Collect, clean, and analyze data to support decision-making.
Develop and maintain data dashboards and reports.
Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within data sets.
Team Collaboration:
Work effectively as part of a cross-functional team, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
Learning and Development:
Actively seek out opportunities to learn new skills and knowledge.
Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance professional development.
EDUCATION:
Enrolled in an Industrial Systems Engineering Bachelor’s program at an accredited university.
Required: Completed a course in Engineering Statistics.
Preferred: Completed courses in Simulation Modeling and Optimization Modeling.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python, SQL). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated leadership and initiative.
