Agropur is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor (Building & Services) to join its team in St‑Laurent. The Maintenance Supervisor (Building & Services) is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating maintenance and monitoring work across all fixed equipment and machinery within the St‑Laurent plant. This role also ensures proper building maintenance and oversees all related services, while actively participating in various projects.

• Salary Scale 005: $84,600 to $105,800
• (Base salary will be determined according to your academic background, experience, training, and position‑related competencies.)

What’s involved in this role:

More specifically, the Maintenance Supervisor (Building & Services) will:

• Plan and coordinate all activities related to the maintenance of fixed plant equipment
• Provide technical support to team members
• Provide technical support to operations
• Ensure execution of preventive maintenance plans for their sector
• Supervise work performed by stationary engineers to ensure proper functioning and apply corrective measures when needed on heating and refrigeration equipment, pneumatic systems (compressed air), effluent treatment (wastewater), alarms/fire service/sprinklers, etc.
• Supervise the work of electromechanics in collaboration with the Chief Maintenance Supervisor
• Perform follow-ups and inspections to ensure proper functioning of equipment under their responsibility and coordinate preventive maintenance programs to keep equipment in optimal condition. Follow‑ups include validating daily reports prepared for the Régie du bâtiment and for wastewater treatment services (CUM)
• Document interventions related to equipment in their sector
• Oversee the purchase of parts for the equipment listed above and select subcontractors (via tendering) for work on equipment and buildings not handled internally. Supervise repair work/projects completed by subcontractors, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines through rigorous follow‑up
• Plan and control operational and labor budget expenses within the approved budget envelope; monitor spending and explain variances
• Actively participate in new plant development projects related to buildings and services; evaluate project costs and coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and associated labor
• Ensure application of company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety programs and collective agreement provisions
• Ensure continuous training and development of the technical team

What you need to join our team

• Training as a stationary engineer, in maintenance, engineering, or any related field deemed relevant
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a unionized environment
• Knowledge of CMMS software (Guide TI is an asset) and strong command of MS Office
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation, diagnostics, supervision, and automated process/equipment control
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English
• (English is required to collaborate with colleagues in other Canadian provinces.)
