About the Portfolio 

The Operations Portfolio enables an integrated, enterprise-wide delivery for best practice student and staff experiences.

The Portfolio incorporates the following business units: Enterprise Business Performance Improvement (EBPI), Communications, Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), Global Marketing & Student Recruitment, Human Resources, Information and Technology Services (ITS), Office of the Chief Operating Officer, Procurement and Property Services Group (PSG).

Information Technology Services (ITS) provides RMIT University with Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems and services. Our role is to support RMIT’s high quality teaching, learning, research and administrative activities.

Information Technology Services: 

• Ensures the IT infrastructure and information management services and systems enhance the performance of the University’s core functions.

• Facilitates effective use of information technology in teaching and learning, research & development, administrative and commercial activities.

• Develops and implements efficient and effective IT management practices.

About the position

The M365 Evangelist is responsible for promoting and educating RMIT’s management teams in the ability of the Microsoft 365 platform. They will be supporting users with help and training capabilities to ensure they’re using available functionality to help speed up their daily activities.

The M365 Evangelist will provide examples of how best to utilise the suite of tools available and how they can be integrated so that full potential is reached.

This role is responsible for assisting with the realisation of value from RMIT’s Microsoft 365 investment by continuing to boost user engagement, driving adoption, and assisting with the RMIT Microsoft 365 roadmap.

The role will manage and prepare for change by measuring and sharing the success of Microsoft 365, while understanding where future improvements can be implemented.

About you

• Significant knowledge and expertise across Microsoft technologies

• Experience with and/or deep understanding of Microsoft 365 collaboration stack including Office 365, SharePoint Online, Teams and OneDrive.

• Previous involvement in large scale SharePoint Online environment rollouts and ongoing management.

• Experience delivering training and support to management teams.

• Experience in configuring Azure AD Connect, especially In Multi Forest Setup. Good understanding of Azure AD.

• 1-2 years’ experience in managing a large Microsoft 365 environment.

• Experience in migrating from Google Drive to the appropriate Microsoft 365 storage platform (such as, OneDrive, SharePoint, or Teams).

• At least 5 years’ experience with Exchange (Online preferred), Active Directory, Azure Active Directory.

• The ability to administer, support and migrate using PowerShell.
