JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

This individual will serve as a member of the Luzerne County Cooperative Extension team managing the 4-H program for 4-H youth members and adult volunteer leaders.

Time Requirements:  Approximately 20 hours/week, fluctuating depending on the time of the year.  The individual will need to be available for evening and weekend events to fulfill the position’s responsibilities.

Position Responsibilities:

• Work with staff to maintain county program.  Support 4-H members, leaders and families in registering and attending programs and events. Coordinate registration, and supervision for 4-H members in programs.
• Work with the County 4-H Program Development Committee to continue the 4-H program without a full-time educator.
• Provide communication to volunteers, youth and parents about upcoming programs and opportunities.
• Continue program documentation and reporting.
• Support volunteers to continue 4-H clubs.
