- Ensure PO Fuel Cell System function for dedicated loop.
- Guarantee Quality, Cost & Timing of her/his deliverables & actively participate to any risk mitigation during critical period of projects.
- Participates cross functionally with the System, Control, Software, Validation (incl. labs measurement & calibration), Purchasing, Quality teams & other departments involved in a transversal manner.
- Participate to the benchmark of potential supplier & screening of technology for dedicated system loop.
- Plan & realize the engineering activities, in order to develop & integrate/validate the functions as part of the complete fuel cell system.
- Ensure PO Fuel Cell dedicated loop components meet system requirements.
- Develop & deliver the expertise related to dedicated loop into the company for customers projects for internal, research & customers projects.
- Support launch for new product lines in accordance with the innovation roadmap (including Proof of Concept methodology).
- Lead Suppliers product development performance assessment.
ACTIVITIESLead the benchmark of potential supplier & screening of dedicated loop for fuel cell applications.
- Identify, prioritize the dedicated loop & related technology.
- Integrates best in class automotive technology for all technologies related to the dedicated loop.
- Analyze patent & literature.
- Contribute to partnership with university/research labs.
- Manage the budget associated for benchmarking.
Plan & realize the engineering activities to develop & integrate/validate the dedicated loop system.
- Functional analysis
- Specification of the functions allocated to dedicated loop
- Design validation (PO & supplier)
- Process validation (PO & supplier)
- Loop components integration & validation plan definition follow up
- Participation of risk management
- Life cycle analysis
- Write & communicate lessons learned
Ensure PO New Energies loop functions meet systems requirements
- Develop Components Technical Specifications for dedicated loop (for both innovation & product development).
- Ensure full traceability between PO New Energies system design & components requirements.
- Analyze all testing results CVP & DV/PV (from suppliers & internal testing at component & system level) to check the loop component’s performance is at expected level in the system.
- Ensure that development tools are up to date in his/her team & control their application.
- Ensure that loop component design is compliant with industrial requirements for prototype & mass production assembly in plant.
Launch new product lines for loop system in accordance with the innovation roadmap Proof of Concept (POC) methodology
- Ensure innovation by supporting & sponsoring ideas within team.
- Promote & report results of the ongoing POCs in accordance with the innovation roadmap.
- Enhance the level of partnerships within & outside of PO.
- With the support of purchasing develop partnerships with key suppliers to maximize synergies.
Lead suppliers product development performance
- Support Worldwide Core-Teams with training & explanation about performance, Innovative solutions & key competitive advantages of PO New Energies.
- Develop PO Intellectual property in conjunction with team & manager.
- Support RFI/RFQ for any related dedicated loop needs & Bill Of Material (BOM) price optimization .
- Provide technical support on steering committee with key suppliers in order to ensure project is performing well.
- Answer questions from internal customers related to performance issues.
- Develop partnerships with key suppliers to maximize synergies.
COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTSKnowledge/Qualification
- Bachelor, Master, PhD or similar in Mechatronics, Electronics & Electrical, or Power electronics or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- Other academic backgrounds leading to mastering several of the above specific skills.
- Company working language is English. Some knowledge in French or German would be beneficial.
Previous Experience
- Previous experience in fuel cell systems design.
Key technical competencies
- Knowledge of Fuell cell component.
- Knowledge in Control laws, Control Units and/or On-board diagnostics development
- Knowledge of Actuators & Sensors technologies
- Knowledge of Electronic & Electrical measurement techniques
- Knowledge in Electronic & Electrical industrial processes
- Knowledge on Electromagnetic Compatibility
- Knowledge of Problem-solving Techniques (e.g. PDCA, Shainin, DMAIC)
- Knowledge of Functional Safety & Risk Analysis (e.g. FMEA, FTA)
- Knowledge of System & Requirement Engineering
