A look back at the 2022 Chemistry Meetings
‘The Lindau meeting is an immersive experience into the world of Nobel prizes and, extrapolating from there, I feel that I understand the backstage of science and academia much better now. My favorite part was lunch with Stefan Hell [Chemistry 2014], where he showed his interest in our research and shared his experience as a PhD and postdoc pre-Nobel.’ Karina Nakashima, postdoc bij Rijksuniversiteit Groningen
About the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings

The Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings  aim to encourage the exchange of knowledge between different generations of scientists, consolidate international networks, and inspire both young researchers and Nobel laureates. The theme of the Lindau Meetings alternates between the three Nobel Prize scientific disciplines: physics, chemistry or physiology/medicine. The Lindau Meeting on economic sciences is held every three years.

The Council for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings has organised the annual meetings since 1951. The Academy joined in 2008. It recommends young researchers to the Council for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings, which makes the final selection. The Academy makes a contribution towards the costs of its nominees’ participation.
