Located in downtown Toronto, the largest and most culturally diverse city in Canada and on the territory of the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee and the Wendat Peoples, the Department of Criminology in the Faculty of Arts at Toronto Metropolitan University [www.torontomu.ca] invites applications for a one-year Limited Term Faculty (LTF) position at the rank of Assistant Professor effective July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.

Note: Limited Term Faculty appointments at Toronto Metropolitan University may not exceed a combined total of four years. Applicants with prior Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) LTF appointments need to consider this limitation, as it may render them ineligible to apply.

The successful candidate ideally should have demonstrated experience as an effective teacher of large undergraduate courses, experience supervising Academic Assistants; and must provide evidence of currency in the teaching areas listed below. Applicants should clearly identify experience in teaching courses that introduce the discipline of Criminology to first year students, in addition to experience in all other courses at any level, related to the substantive areas listed below. The successful candidate will only carry out the teaching and service obligations required of faculty members at Toronto Metropolitan University.
