Position Description
The Faculty of Nursing at the University of Calgary is seeking applications for Limited Term Assistant Professor (Teaching) within the Rural and Remote Nursing Program.
The position include providing support and coordination for the rural and remote practice educators within the Undergraduate Program in clinical agency settings, on-campus labs, and simulation labs. We are seeking applicants with nursing practice experience in rural acute care and community settings. This full-time contract is for 3 years in duration. Limited Term Assistant Professor (Teaching) are provided with exceptional orientation, mentorship, and ongoing professional development.
The successful applicant must at minimum be qualified to teach all introductory-level nursing courses and be prepared to actively participate in program and curriculum development, particularly related to the rural and remote nursing program. Preference will be given to applicants who have expertise in rural/remote nursing education and online teaching experience.
Practice support and coordination takes place virtually.
