Duties include research (including research creation), teaching courses at the first year and second-year level, and administrative service. There may be potential to teach an upper-level course in the candidate’s area of specialization. As a member of our department, the successful candidate will be expected to participate in department-level service. Required credentials are a completed PhD in English and Creative Writing, or a PhD in a closely related field with demonstrated expertise in creative writing at the graduate level. A demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence is also required. Candidates must demonstrate expertise and teaching readiness in composition and creative writing. Candidates must have teaching experience in the first-year composition classroom and in the creative writing classroom. The ability to teach Indigenous literature will be considered an asset.
Anticipated date of commencement is 1 July 2025; end date of the term is 30 June 2027.
