New hires are required to provide documentation showing primary vaccination status (that is, completion of two shots of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine or one shot of the Janssen/Johnson & Johnson) before their first day of work. Has working on a small team in a big organization ever tempted you?  Academic veterinary hospitals are great places to work. Longtime staff have scores of student, house officer, and faculty friends they have made over the years fulfilling the three missions of the college – teaching, patient care and research.  Working in a big organization also means, if you are interested in non-clinical arenas like event planning or leadership, opportunity exists.  Our two current neurology technicians recently planned and lead a “Cornell Kids@work” event at the veterinary school for the whole university community.

Cornell University Hospital for Animals (CUHA) seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician to work in our Neurology section. • Promote excellent patient/client relationships and efficient service workflow by coordinating procedures and communicating a sense of assurance to clients; develop and maintain excellent working relationships and professionalism within the hospital, including other team members, students, other service technicians, staff, clinicians, and clients.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation, generation of requests in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Provide instruction to veterinary students, interns, and residents in technical skills and procedures.
