Job Description:

Department Overview:

The Legal Operations, Risk and Delivery team is dynamic, passionate, and committed to providing the best support for colleague experience, business operations, operational support, business continuity, governance and control, and processes and standards to enable our Legal team to achieve their mandate.

The Legal Operations, Risk and Delivery team is responsible for leading and building organizational capability in managing risk on a more integrated and comprehensive basis to support a dedicated team focused on supporting service delivery to our Legal team, promoting a strong risk and business management culture within TD.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the creation of detailed business case analyses by breaking down problems, identifying inefficiencies, engineering solutions, and implementing strategies

  • Perform data analyses as requested; develop and present ad hoc reports in support of various business process initiatives both internally and externally.

  • Collaborate with a diverse professional team, such as project managers, system owners, and end users to further refine business operations requirements and goals.

  • Research and review processes that support business functions.

  • Support Business Continuity activities

  • Create and/or support the creation of new procedures to enhance business processes, operations, and data flow.

  • Analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes and develop strategies for enhancing them.

  • Support and lead relationships with the company’s technology and control partners

  • Support the design, develop, and distribute procedures and training for new process launches in both technical and user-oriented language.

  • Manage and coordinate research

  • Conduct requirements sessions (if necessary).

  • Flowchart business processes to define operational activities, procedures, and models.

  • Identify omissions and errors in business requirements, processes by conducting feasibility background

  • Prepare reports for use by Legal staff personnel in support of operation activities.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, certification, or diploma in appropriate field of study (engineering, computer science, finance, or business administration) or equivalent work experience

  • 1-2 years’ direct work experience

  • Demonstrated experience analyzing business, technical, and process requirements

  • Understanding of common tools such as Power BI, VBA, M365

  • Advanced MS Excel skills

  • Proven experience with Power BI, VBA considered an asset

  • Expertise in designing, developing, and implementing re-engineered business processes

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Strong time management, qualification and negotiation skills

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills, able to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities/tasks, and ability to react quickly to shifting priorities

  • Thrives in a change driven environment with a history of delivering superior results

  • Bilingual is preferred.
