We’re Looking For:

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Legal Assistant to support our insurance risk management department and legal department. For the insurance risk management department, you will work with various departments to gather and organize information necessary for compliance and policy renewal, and be the primary contact for insurance related requests. For the legal department, you will support attorneys and paralegals with their administrative needs, such as creating, tracking, and updating matters in the matter management and e-billing systems, completing expense reports, and providing general administrative support. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of administrative experience in an in-house legal department or a law firm. This position will report to the VP, Legal.

You Will:

Gather and organize information necessary for compliance and insurance policy renewal and be the primary contact for insurance related requests.

Work directly with the company’s insurance broker and VP, Legal on the company’s insurance risk management needs.

Create, track, and update matters in the matter management system and e-billing system.

Complete expense reports.

Provide general organizational support.

Organize and maintain files and calendars.

Work closely with other members of the legal team on a variety of projects and initiatives.

Must Haves:

5+ years of experience in an in-house legal department or law firm.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Proficiency with business and matter management software.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

High level of integrity, professionalism and discretion.

Thrive on the challenge of a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work autonomously and simultaneously manage/prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
