Permanent Whole Time Post

The School of Law at University College Cork is recruiting a permanent Lectureship in a field of EU Law with a requirement to be able to teach in Irish and/or French, to contribute to the development of the School’s research, programmes and engagement ambitions.  The School is ranked 75th in the world, 17th in the EU and 1st in Ireland (QS 2022 Subject Rankings).

The EU Law Lectureship is specifically designed to support the School’s flagship BCL Law and French and/or BCL Law & Irish degrees and it is essential that the successful candidate can teach in French and/or Irish in addition to English.  The postholder will be expected to be research active with the potential for securing ERC funding and align their research with the appropriate UCC Futures Cluster(s) and will be expected to make a full contribution to the School’s programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level as appropriate under the direction of the Dean of the School of Law.

Appointment may be made on the Lecturer (Below the Bar) Salary Scale: €35,600 – €62,604 (Scale B) / €37,530 – €59,571 (Scale A)

Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy***.***
