About the opportunity
Southern
Cross University’s Faculty of Health
provides an exciting and innovative learning
environment, and offers fields of study across a broad range of
health-related professions. As a Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in
Osteopathy, you will contribute to the delivery of Osteopathy
courses offering a unique and enriched learning experience. This
position will be expected to contribute to research projects to
grow the profile of the Faculty through publications and grants.
In addition, you will:
- Undertake
innovative curriculum development and initiative in design
delivery of courses; - Integrate
industry knowledge and work
collaboratively with fellow academics and update colleagues and
students on developments in their subject area or
specialisation; and - Contribute
to the Faculty through active and positive engagement with
relevant community and professional bodies.
About you
With
a passion for teaching and research in Osteopathy, you will possess
a qualification relevant to the level of appointment in the field or
a related area and eligibility for registration as an Osteopath with
AHPRA. You will be able to demonstrate your student-centred teaching
experience and ability to contribute to high quality curriculum or
program materials. Additionally, you will have:
- A
track record in scholarship, evidenced by publication output,
research grants and supervision of honours or higher degree
research candidates; and - Demonstrated
material in blended and online environments including digital
interactive content delivery.
Additional
criteria for Academic Level C (Senior Lecturer) positions:
- Demonstrate
experience leading and undertaking the design, implementation
and evaluation of curriculum; and - Leadership
experience in teaching, research, and/or professional practice,
and collaboration with industry partners.

Salary and benefits
Our

- Part-time (60%),
continuing (permanent) - Located at Gold
Coast. Generous relocation support available. - Academic
Level B or C:- The base salary
for a 60% Academic Level C ranges from $74,340 – $85,518 per
annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation.
The total remuneration package is up to $100,056. - The base salary
for a 60% Academic Level B ranges from $60,926 – $72,107 per
annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation.
The total remuneration package is up to $84,365.
