We would like you to bring your skills and experience to join our Advanced Clinical Practice team, where you will be teaching and supporting students undertaking the Independent Prescribing programme.

We are looking to recruit a lecturer or senior lecturer with contemporary knowledge of prescribing, who has professional experience as a practitioner or at an advanced practice level.  You will share your specialist and advanced knowledge to prepare nurses, midwives and allied health professionals to conduct a holistic health history and physical assessment of adults and to prescribe safely, appropriately and cost effectively as an independent prescriber utilising a patient centred approach

Our programmes’ curriculum is focused on preparing practitioners to develop their role or innovate their practice and our philosophy is to work in partnership with students, academics, researchers, service users and service colleagues to deliver high quality learning and teaching based on contemporary research findings and prescribing and advanced physical assessment practice.  In order to be successful in this role you should have:

  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and hold a non-medical prescribing qualification.
  • A good first degree in a nursing, midwifery or allied health profession and working towards or have a postgraduate MSc
