Salary: Level B – $110,236 – $130,900 p.a., Level C – $135,032 – $155,698 or Level D – $162,590 – $179,123 p.a. plus 17% super. The level of appointment is subject to the appointee’s qualifications and experience.

About the Role
The Melbourne Conservatorium of Music seeks to appoint an accomplished wind ensemble conductor with a national or international profile to lead the Wind Symphony program and enhance conductor training. Appointment at the rank of Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Associate Professor will reflect the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, and profile.

About You
You will be an outstanding musician with a doctoral degree in wind conducting, and a record of effective and multifaceted teaching in ensemble, performance, and conductor training. You will bring imaginative, innovative, and effective approaches to ensemble and conducting studies, achieving international standards of performance excellence and programming diversity with the Conservatorium’s Wind Symphony and Concert Band, and will foster high quality in other woodwind/brass/percussion ensembles in the Conservatorium.

Short-listed candidates will be invited to visit the Conservatorium for several days during 13-31 March 2023.
