Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary The CSSE Department invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track faculty Lecturer or Senior Lecturer position to begin in spring 2023 or fall 2023. This is a 9-month appointment with a typical teaching load of three 3-credit-hour courses per academic semester, with the possibility of teaching during the summer term for additional compensation. The review process will begin November 15, 2022 and continue until the position is filled. Minimum Qualifications The minimum required qualification is a master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field from an ABET accredited institution at the time employment begins. Selected candidates must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work legally in the United States at the time of appointment for the proposed term of employment.
Desired Qualifications Candidates with (or close to earning) a PhD or have teaching and/or industrial experience are desired. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in artificial intelligence and/or computer security, but candidates from all areas of computer science and software engineering will be considered. Excellent communication skills are desired. We welcome applications from women and those belonging to underrepresented groups in computer science.
