Description
The Department of Languages at Clemson University invites applications for a part-time, non-tenure track Lecturer position (nine-month renewable appointment) beginning January 1, 2023. We seek a dedicated professional committed to excellence in teaching courses in French for Health Professionals with a preferred background in Community Health, Global Health, or a related clinical specialization. Teaching load of 2 courses per semester in the Language & International Health program, a health humanities BS degree offered jointly with the Department of Public Health Sciences. Possibility for additional teaching in the summer.
Qualifications
Native or near-native proficiency in French with demonstrated ability to converse fluently in high-level professional and academic conversation. A Master’s degree or equivalent in Public Health, Language teaching, or a field related to the degree program is required. Knowledge or interest in education abroad, service-learning abroad, or Haitian Creole is also desirable.
