Lecturer: Networking (Level A/B)

  • Full-time, 3 year fixed term contract
  • Commencement Salary: Level A $93,165, Level B $104,838 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)


About the Role 

The teaching focused position is responsible for the development and delivery of teaching resources in undergraduate and postgraduate programs within UniSA STEM, and activities in the Information Technology discipline, with particular focus on Networking. Under broad direction and guidance, the position undertakes duties with increasing autonomy as the staff member gains contemporary professional and discipline-related knowledge in their teaching practice and carries out activities to develop scholarly expertise.

In addition to the above, the position as a Level B, is also responsible for the coordination of courses within STEM’s undergraduate, honours and postgraduate programs. The position will contribute independently and as part of a team to support STEM’s teaching and learning outcomes including Scholarship of Teaching & Learning (SoTL) in the Networking discipline.

Essential Skills and Experience

Level A

  • Bachelor qualification along with postgraduate degree or relevant industry/discipline experience in Networking, or a closely related discipline
  • Ability to undertake a range of teaching duties, including design and preparation of teaching activities and resources, for teaching in Networking 

Level B

  • A doctoral qualification in Information Technology or a related area or commensurate relevant industry experience in Networking
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in teaching, including design and preparation of teaching activities and resources, for teaching in Networking
  • Certification at CCNA Instructor level


Level A and B

  • High-level communication skills including demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with team members, colleagues, and external parties
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching through continual development and improving performance
