Lecturer: Information Systems (Level B)

  • Based in UniSA STEM at the Mawson Lakes campus
  • Full-time, 3 year fixed term contract
  • Commencement Salary: Level B $104,838 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)


About the Role

This teaching focused position is responsible for the development, delivery and coordination of courses within STEM’s undergraduate, honours and postgraduate programs in the Information Technology discipline with a particular focus on Information Systems. The position will contribute independently and as part of a team to support STEM’s teaching and learning outcomes including Scholarship of Teaching & Learning (SoTL) in the Information Systems discipline.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to the design and development of engaging, relevant and technology-enhanced curricula for identified programs and courses
  • Effectively undertake administrative duties related to teaching activities of identified courses and programs, including the development of course and program material, if required
  • Undertake course coordination and/or provide leadership to other academic staff in the teaching team
  • Implement innovative teaching approaches (including face-to-face, online and blended learning) to promote student learning

Essential Skills and Experience

  • A doctoral qualification in Information Technology, Information Systems or a related area. Candidates who are nearing completion of their doctoral qualification or have 2 years plus relevant commensurate industry experience are encouraged to apply
  • Ability and experience in teaching, including design and preparation of teaching activities and resources, for both service and discipline-specific teaching in the Mathematical Sciences
  • Experience with supporting students from a variety of cultural and ethnics backgrounds
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching through continual development and improving performance
