Lecturer in Textile Technology (Teaching & Scholarship)

The University welcomes applications for the above a fixed term post across the Grade 6 and Grade 7 Lecturer Scale, dependent on qualifications and experience, within the Department of Materials. As a dynamic lecturer, you will be expected to make a significant contribution at the interface of the discipline, whilst developing student skills and knowledge at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The successful applicant will contribute to teaching in the area of Textile Technology with a particular focus, but not limited to: Colour Management Systems, Colour Science, Fibre and Textile Testing, Performance and Manufacturing Technologies, Textile Sustainability Strategies along with the supervision of final year and MSc Project students. This is a teaching and scholarship focused role and you will contribute to the design, development and ongoing refinement of Textile Technology teaching content and will develop innovative teaching, assessment marking and support to students on the taught programmes offered by the Department (where appropriate).
