LECTURER IN HISTORY

Teach the following course in Spring 2023:
Position: Teach History 201, The Historian’s Craft. This is a 3-credit course with an enrollment cap of 15. History 201 is a writing and research-intensive course, and the theme for the course should be based on the applicant’s research interests and have broad appeal to history students.
This position is responsible for preparing all course materials, assignments, and homework. This position is expected to create assignments and homework and hold office hours to meet with students.

• 80% Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
• 10% Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
• 10% Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations

Required
PhD or other terminal degree in history or related field with specialization in modern U.S. history and/or history of religion and politics in modern America.

Demonstrated record of or potential for superior scholarly accomplishments and previous college/university-level teaching experience preferred.

Part Time: 40%
It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Terminal, 5 month appointment.
This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding

Minimum $43,388 ACADEMIC (9 months)
