The Department of Fine Arts at Brandeis University is seeking a Lecturer to teach an architectural drawing and design course in Spring 2023. The course, FA 24A Architectural Drawing & Digital Design II, is structured as an introductory studio course requiring no previous knowledge or background in architectural design. Students learn how to execute architectural drawings (via Rhinoceros) and to approach architectural design projects.

About the opportunity:

The Lecturer will teach the introductory course in architectural drawing and design, and computer modeling.

Qualification-Education/Experience

Candidates must hold a terminal degree in Architecture from an accredited institution or Master of Architecture or equivalent. Candidates with technical proficiency in Rhinoceros 3D will be preferred.

Submission Guidelines:

Candidates must submit a letter of interest (2 pages maximum), curriculum vitae, one-page teaching statement, sample syllabus for an introductory level architectural design studio, contact information for three references, and a portfolio of creative work.

This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509.
