We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Fine Art to join the Lancaster Institute of Contemporary Arts on a 0.7 FTE basis until the 31st July 2023. You will contribute to the delivery of a range of modules at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, especially in the area of painting. You will supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students, contribute to the development of pedagogy in your area of expertise, and participate in the administration of teaching. You will be a practicing artist with a postgraduate qualification and good knowledge of the context in which modern and contemporary fine art painting is made. You should be confident in demonstrating painting methods and techniques, delivering presentations and discussing issues and debates in contemporary fine art.
Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts (LICA) encompasses Lancaster’s teaching and research activities in Art, Architecture, Design, Film and Theatre.
